Well tomorrow is the Cambridge Highland Games, and I am looking forward to seeing all the dancers giving their all!

It is going to be a hot sunny day - I'll have to remember to bring sunscreen and lots of water!

I'll post pictures next week.

A wonderful (and only slightly wet) day was had by all this past Saturday.  Several dancers represented the ME Cann School of Highland Dance and we'll post results shortly.  It was great to see everyone out there supporting and cheering on our dancers.

We are looking forward to July and the Cambridge Highland Games.

Classes have been cancelled tonight due to the snow... Old man winter just will not let us have a break from this snow.!   Spring where are you!!!

Studio Leak !

We had a leak in our main studio - at the beginning of March, and very lucky that it did not leak into the wardrobe room! The studio floor has been sanded and had a new few layers of urethan slopped on it. New wall ceiling tiles have been replace due to the flood, plus, the studio has a new layer of paint on the large studio walls.  All this work was done by the construction workers after they ripped the wall apart to work on plumbing issues.

Our Mall has been under construction... at Willow West Mall!

Studio has been busy taking part in many of the Robbie Burns shows during the month of January 2011. The Guelph Civic Museum's annual Burns Day held at Norfolk United Church was a wonderful day of Scottish heritage of Piping, Dancing and historical talks.
Dancers where very well received and our many of our new beginners were introduced to taking part in the yearly event.

Our dancers took part in many Robbie Burns shows as area Seniors Homes in both Guelph and Kitchener/Waterloo.  The seniors just love the little dancers.

Our Junior Premier class are off to Elora,ON, to take part in a Robbie Burns show on Jan. 29, 2011, the dancers are very excited to take part in this show.

So, to all of you who are of Scottish Heritage and even if you are not... take a moment and go to your local library and check out works of Robert Burns.!

Starting a new year with a Fling!

Goodness where has the 2010 year gone to?

We all start out each year with the drive to move forward and get things done...all with

good intentions.  We start the New Year busy cleaning and weeding out the old and start with a fresh new optimism... hoping that it will bring a quite complete satisfaction.

This pass year we lost one of our studio dancers and teacher Catherine Toth who passed away this fall from CF.  Catherine was a person who would not be satisfied with not trying something without having a satisfying outcome.  Catherine, who passed away at the age of 26 will always be remembered and greatly missed by her

studio family.

Catherine was a shining star who smile lit up the dance studio. Her determination and courage is an inspiration to us all. She will be forever in hour hearts.

Miss yah,!

Have the best day ever - everyone !!
